Event Update

Hey gang,

Together with our partners, we have now made the decision to postpone Polo in the Bay to our alternative date, Saturday January 22.

We were all hoping for some good news on Friday, some changes that might ease restrictions ahead of our November date.  Unfortunately, the goal posts have moved further away for events and it now seems likely that some form of freedom will only arrive in December.

Under Alert Level 2, the restrictions for food & beverage service are extremely prohibitive and would have a huge impact on the overall event experience we can offer.  There would be no freedom to wander the event site with drink in hand, graze your way around the foodtrucks or even mingle with groups of mates – it would be a very different atmosphere with all these restrictions.

We want our inaugural event to be an absolute cracker, so we’re now setting our sights on the new date, in the New Year – we really hope you can still join us.

Your Options

All tickets, in all categories, will be automatically transferred to the new date, Saturday January 22.

If you CAN ATTEND on the new date, there is nothing you need to do.

If you CANNOT ATTEND on the new date, we need you to complete a Refund Request through Eventbrite BEFORE 5:00PM MONDAY NOV 8TH.  You can do this by logging into your Eventbrite account.

A full refund, including all booking fees, will be processed after the deadline on November 8th.

If you have any questions about your tickets, please email us on events@polointhebay.co.nz

We realise how disappointing these changes are for everyone, our team included, so we appreciate your support and patience while we work through the changes.

If you already have tickets to other evening events on the new date, like the Black Clash cricket match, you’ll be pleased to know that we’re making a few tweaks to our program, so the times don’t overlap.

We hope you can join us.
